grand am owners or mechanics.. i have a question!!?
ok. i just got a new 99 grand am, on 45,000 miles on it. and a light came on that said service vehicle soon... it said, see dealer as soon as possible in the manual. so what does this mean? and how much money will somethin like this cost? please help!!!

is it because it was raining, and the streets were wet?

u have to have a diagnostic done where they hook it up to read the computer to find out if there is a sensor failure or something of that nature, because it could be a number of things

Definitely take the car in, do NOT just reset this light. It may be something little or something big. And the only thing wet roads would do is turn on you traction control light on your dash. Not your check engine light. So take it in asap. You dont want to chance it!

so it wasn't the check engine light? if not then i guess it's time to take the car in for a tune up thing

try the red reset button in the fuse panel.driver side on side of the dash

it could be anything from a worn out censor to an oil change....take your car to a shop
