How do you patch a hole in rayon?

I have a small hole in a pair of rayon pants. I bought a normal iron-on patch from the store, but it says not to use on rayon. So what DO I use?

Take a regular light bulb and place it where the hole is and sew your pants with the same color thread as the color of your pants.. Or take them to the dry cleaners or a seamtress...
