I had an interview for a job that said the paid depends on Experinece. My question is should I ask how much they intended to pay for the position during the interview or after they decide to offer me the job.

do not ask about salary/compensation until you are offered the job. remember it is YOU that needs to impress them, not the other way around. they have something you need and if you're too greedy or focus only on the salary then it's probably not worth their time to go any further. Yes, it seems like a waste of time to go through the process only to find out it's not paying what you thought it would but that's the name of the game sadly. then maybe you could negotiate the salary using your experience as proof but not likely. if you're not willing to do the job for the price, they will find someone else who will.

At the first interview never ask how much the job pays, for the simple reason you may ask a lower price and they were willing to pay a higher one. Also if u give the an idea of how much and someone else says a lower price u may not get the job.Take it from experience this is what will happen.

I was told that you should always walk away from an interview knowing if you want the job because an interview is 2 sided. not many people realize that but its true! its to see if you are right for them and if they are right for you so I would say always know what they would pay you before leaving. if they want to call you back for a 2nd interview then I would say for sure know the pay because then you wont be wasting your time (or theirs) with the next interview if the pay is way below your standards.

Wait until after you are offered the job. Because you may be asking for lower wage than they were going to pay you. And if they know your asking for lower, guess what? They are going to give u the lower wage.
