I want to know if a dress is too fancy for that. I was thinking of a halter just past my knees.

I don't think a halter would be good for an 8th grade graduation because it may show too much cleavage. a nice dress with straps not skinny straps would look much better. You cant go wrong with black.

Um it's fall almost, isn't school just STARTING? But whatever, I would suggest either a casual dress or skirt. When I say skirt, I don't mean one of those skanky hollister skirts that look more like headbands for your butt, I mean something classy and sophisticated. Since you are in eighth grade I'm assuming, try a flowly strapless tube dress in a fun, colorful pattern. If you want to wear a skirt, try a knee length eyelet skirt, or a colorful one with a floral print. Wear a dressy tank with it, like maybe one with some sparkles to spice it up. Don't wear flip flops or really high strappy shoes! A delicate kitten heel is the way to go.

Do You mean attending one or being part of one??
I graduated 8th grade a few months ago and had a blue shimmery halter dress.
People attending wore simple dressed that were simple.

Sorta dressy. Look like you thought about the occasion. Nice dress, or skirt and top, shoes you can comfortably walk in.

if yOohr in it then yOoh should wear a jean skirt w./ a cute tunic if yOohr attendin 1 then yOoh should wear dark jeans a white shirt w/ white ballet flats! hopethat helps!

ummm lets see, when i had mines me and my BBF dressed alike...little black dresses and black heels curly hair...dress to impress and to show what those little middle school boys will be missing...
