I am going to have a painting done that will include my baby boys hand and feet prints (somewhat hidden). This is done by placing the prints within a flower.
My son is Mexican. Is there a flower or plant that I can use in the painting tht does not look too girly?
He was born in August.

Cactus. Lots of colors and varieties...they are not all 3 pronged green things.

those zebra plants look nice--here's a bit of information from a website called 'outstanding interior plants' http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/interiorscape/gallery/index.html
Excellent site.

Zebra Plant

Additional Comments: Keep soil slightly damp; provide high humidity to prevent brown margins. Mature leaves arch gracefully.

Another nice looker is :
Croton
Codiaeum variegatum

Shrub with highly colored shiny leaves; leaves may be lobed or entire.
Plant Form or Habit: upright
Plant Use: specimen permanent color

No such thing as a girly flower to me-even men like flowers. My nearest guess to a manly flower would be a foxglove digitalis-now maybe a rose would be a little girly!

How about a Tiger Flower (Mexican Shell Flower)? It would show his heritage.

They were given by the Mafia to men.
My favorite flower, too.
