its a guy singing and its sort of a slow slong, almost country sounding.
it goes something like

Yep, it's a crossover hit from the 70's called "Danny's Song." Kenny Loggins sang the version you most likely heard. Anne Murray also sang a country version of it.

the song is "danny songs" anne murray a female country singer sang it......the version of the male singer i have heard and for some reason i belive it was an ex back of singer of anne murrays who coverd the song.........I am embarrsed i know all this...my parents punished me with anne murray on family vactions......so i guess all that pain paid off. just to answer your question'
