I would give the edge to New England for the season. They play in a softer division. They'll feast on Buffalo and The Jets.

Denver has to play some powerful offenses with power running games in KC, and San Diego. Denver doesn't generate much of a pash rush these days.

I don't think you'll have a problem with either one. Their very similar, and tend to generate turnovers.

New England actually has a more favorable schedule for their defense to play against. Denver has 6 games v. KC, SD, and OAK who all (at times anyway) have explosive offenses.

Remember, we're talking about fantasy points (i.e., turnovers, sacks, etc) not who really has the better NFL defense.

Take the Pats (division opponents 2x each, Dolphins, Jets, and Bills) - and the Pats have always been very opportunistic in terms of take aways, even if they give up more yards and points than Denver does.

I think Denver is only marginally better that NE, but you could really use a better D against the Gaints. Any other options? How many teams in your league? I assume the top 8 Defenses are taken, what about Seahawks? Redskins?

I'd rather have Denver because they are not losing so many players unlike New England
