I got some good answers but to all of you that made reference... Long Hair or Guitar Players or Both. I suppose my attempt was really a search for some unique insperation or a new type of challenge. Truth is writing original music makes me whole and maybe has nothing to do with my hair. A female asked me to write a song for her so I am going to give it a shot. It's all about cyber feelings on this one. Thanks to all.

Girls don't really like long haired guitar players.
It's all a myth and everything you've ever heard about it is a lie. Concert photos are doctored, and record companies pay models to take photos with long haired guitar players in an elaborate scheme to convince the world growing your hair out is a cool thing to do.
Feelings are also a lie. Talented guitar players manipulate minor and major keys to create a feeling of fall and lift. Untalented guitar players rip off talented guitar players and memorize those "hot leads" and "chops". Feelings never enter the equation, and every song you like is the sum of an equation meticulously designed to send tingles up your spine and convince you to buy a CD. Marshall stacks are all for show and most bands are plugged into practice amps that are mic'd and fed through the P.A., if they are actually playing the guitar at all... most people use tapes.
The sad fact is, Belinda Butcher and Kevin Shields did more with guitar by having sex on one accidently while stoned and a tape was running. The result is infinitely more impressive than anything a talented or untalented guitar player has come up with in the last 25 years.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not a real girl. It's a 62 year old man with multiple sex offenses on his record. He lives next door to me and we shared a laugh that there is actually a long haired guitarist online that's writing about his "feelings". The plan in the long run is to send you a Barbara Striesand CD and manipulate you into writing similar songs so we can blackmail if you ever start getting famous.

oh yes both can be fine .I also dated aguy with short hair....He was very talented in many ways!!!!!!!!
