Try asking the thousands displaced by the floods in the Caracas slums back in 2000 that he promised to re-home....miles away from their families and the lives they had. Try asking the union leaders he ousted because he thought they had to much power....what was that saying about pots and kettles? And try asking those who dare to speak out against him....jailed, vanished, threatened with deportation at best (a journalist I know was hounded with anonymous phone calls day and night, threats and all sorts). The guy is a megalomaniac, power crazed he was elected on a decent ticket but it went to his head soon thereafter. He's a wannabe Castro, makes mega bucks out of the oil in Venezuela making tokenistic claims his ghetto roots mean he's one of the people. Awesome? yeah, awesomely horrendous. I hate so-called socialists who are power-crazed dictators in disguise. And, yes, I spent a couple of months in Venezuela myself so I have SEEN what he's doing first hand.
