It's probably got a bad cord-if not , there's a short in the motor winding. This could happen if you were using a too small gauge extension cord too far from the electrical source (this causes the winding to overheat). The breaker tripping is a warning!

Start with the obvious. The circuit itself. Do you have too much plugged in. If it's a 15 amp saw on a 15 amp circuit it doesn't take much to trip it. Is it GFI circuit? The seem to trip easy, even if you are using the right size cord and are under amperage on the circuit. Check the cord. Right size for the length. You don't need 10 gauge for ten feet, but you do need to run as little cord as possible. My 2 hp air compressor simply does not run on too much cord. If it's 15 amps, I'd say no more than 100' of 12 gauge. If all these things check out try running a same sized tool, like a grinder or table saw on the same circuit using the same set up of cords. Then it probably is in the saw.
I didn't want to bust your chops on Ryobi, but sense the answer above me did, yeah, why Ryobi? When a buy tools I look at the construction and the brand. A lot of good tool companies have started making crap. Delta used to be a good company, but not so much anymore. Miter saws, stick with DeWalt or Milwaukee, but even then you have to be careful.

Sounds like a short to me. That is why I only use certain tried and true brands. Porter Cable, Milwaulki, Hilti, Delta and Dewalt and Rockwell. I refuse to buy anything made in China or any of those places. You save in the short run, but then they break down quick. I think Dewalt even contacts out overseas now. I haven't had to buy equipment for several years. I will assume you have checked your power cord? Depending on how new it is I would take it back and don't tell them it was being used on a commercial job site. "Buy American."

My favorite places to road trip to in the South (US) Key West, FL- Drive through one of a kind Everglades, then six island hop to Key West, just a dreamy road trip with lots of water to look at. Mobile bay, alabama, east to west- a stunning backdrop on the raised causeway of I-10, you can see the bay, the wetlands & the mighty city of Mobile is looming in the distance straight ahead. Savannah, GA- charming historic town, love the gardens & colonial architecture, be sure to visit all the places on the river Also another road trip I liked was driving around the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Stop on the volanic formed outlooks to see some of the best beaches & big surf.

Check to be sure there is not debris inside the guard/shield making the saw drag & pop the breaker.
The other possibility is that someone else turned on/plugged in something on the same circuit.
It's always possible the motor developed an internal short, unusual but it happens.

Sounds as though there is a short circut in the motor windings or armature. If it is really quite new consider returning it to the point of purchase......
