We could have invaded any of these nations which produce more oil than Iraq(in order of production)..
Saudi Arabia
Russia
(US is Here)
Iran
China
Mexico
Norway
Venezuela
Nigeria
Kuwait
Canada
United Arab Emirates
United Kingdom

Of these nations, atleast 5 could be considered at the least rivals and at the most enemies. The rest would have been much easier to destroy than Saddam's army (Nigeria would be a prime example of a pushover).

You are insane. Iraq has more oil than any nation except Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the oil in Iraq can be pumped more cheaply than Saudi Arabia's, because it is easily accessible. Congratulations! Yours is the most dishonest question I have seen on Yahoo Answers, and that's quite an accomplishment!

To all folks, see this link about Iraq http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cabs/Iraq/Full.html , it is published by Energy Information Service, Dept of Energy of US Government.
a very remarkable sentence that did not change the past decade :
"According to the Oil and Gas Journal, Iraq contains 115 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, the third largest in the world (behind Saudi Arabia and Canada), concentrated overwhelmingly (65 percent or more) in southern Iraq. Estimates of Iraq's oil reserves and resources vary widely, however, given that only about 10 percent of the country has been explored". I advise all to read, though we need to read from unbiased party, but no choice, let's read what US government has collected about each country.
Anyone ask why the US goverment is collecting such information about every country on the planet? logical or rationale reason please

-their goal is to control the entire region and then take oil.
-they are building military bases for future reference.

-why attack Saudi? They already control them.

Saudi, Irak, Iran and I think Kuwait or the Arab Emirates have the most oil. the other countries you named have almost nothing compared to this region as a whole.

-if they attacked Iran they would never win even though they (US) could destroy the country. Iran is not a weak country and they have China, maybe Russia and every single Muslim country on their side. This war would trigger a world war as you can imagone...

Production was low because the first gulf war and the subsequent sanctions ruined their production ability.

The thing to look at is not production, but capacity. And where does Iraq rank there? #2 in the world, behind only Saudi Arabia (or #3 if you count Canada's difficult to extract "oil sand").

obviously theres more to it than you realize and/or point out.

like iraq about to be dropping the dollar currency to switch to the euro.

like iraq is strategically located for "future" plans

like it is known by the top ranks of ANY government that the Islamic Ideology is prophecied to come back and once it does Islam will spread faster than ever because the people will realize the government has intentionally kept them ignorant to the Best system ever devised for humans.

Islam is just regardless of how rich or poor.It does not cater to special interest groups or for a certain class but humanity as a whole....they don't want that.

america aim always(government i mean) is to appear as the peacful and angel that its main aim is to spread peace around the world , and to free countries from dectators , in addition to that iraq hjas been a great danger to america not because of the nuclear weapon as it said but because saddamhussein stands in her way of controlling arab reigion, arab reigion is very wanted countries to usa not nigeria or mexico or norway or anyother country you have mentioned and ofcourse america donot need to enter a war with saudi arabia to gain benifits becauseitalready gainsit and if you meant iran, America knows nothing about iran power and sheaa in iraq and all over the arabian gulf will stand against anything that may happen to iran, it isnot only oil it is politics .

Yup this is true! but the libs will keep thinking its about oil...and continue whining about while the fill their 38 gallon SUVs to the brim. If they had half a brain they would see that blaming this war on oil only makes our oil prices higher because the oil companies take advantage of our ignorance and raise prices. All the while we're too busy blaming Bush and we dont see that we are just getting gouged by the good old supply and demand.
