why do you want to dress like a teeny bopper at 32? Act your age not your shoe size!

Blimey, I must be an old git then!
Just wear what you like AND feel comfortable wearing, you may like something but feel uncomfortable so forget these things. Forget magazines - all the people in the photos are enhanced, find a shop where you find lots of nice things and you can try on - take a good friend to give you an honest opinion.
Yes, I agree, if your hair looks good everything else will fall into place, so find a good hairdresser or take along an honest friend!

32 is still pretty young
what my ex does is looks in catalogues at guys around 28 - 40 and copies their entire wardrobe

I do this with celebrities
try to pick one who is my same height/same shape and copy their wardrobe to a tee!

also copying shop mannequins is pretty good and read GQ and stuff like that, it'll give you an idea of whats in style and when, just window shopping can really help as well. Pop into the biggest high street shops and see what the most popular items are.

Just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, and if in doubt buy magazines (although wearing an outfit directly taken from the catwalk is a big no-no) so change it slightly before wearing, oh and you can also take at look at famous dudes, the majority of top hollywood actors are early to mid 30's some older, and mostly they look fantastic, and you can still get similar clothing funky jeans, jackets etc at highstreet stores at a fraction of the designer prices.

Hey Chevvy, my style icon is Dermot O'Leary on Channel 4 (UK). He's about your age (mine too) and always looks trendy without being high fashion. FInd someone whose taste you admire and follow his trend. BTW 32 isn't getting on abit. I still dress trendy and enjoy it at nearly 38, funny tho, the younger ones don't reckon I am actually that old - cos I keep my attitude and dress sense young.

I am 48 and I don't think I'm getting on a bit! But, by the same token I do not yearn to be in with the in crowd ie the young ones. Just wear casuals and be cool and make people laugh!

But never try to be something you are not.

Try Jane Norman at Debenhams, or Principles. Also, the more stylish your hair, the better you'll look, so look after that too :) You don't need to worry anyway, 32 isn't old!

Go into a smaller shop, where the staff can take time to advise you, like an independent outlet. Most small towns have one.

i am 39, and still like to dress in short skirts etc. however i realise that sometimes i might look a little ridiculous. what matters most is how the clothes fit you. dont walk around in really tight skirts, this looks mad, or clothes that are made for teenagers.to look smart is much nicer, good luck.
