how do charities work?

Not sure, but it takes a heck of a lot of money to produce a commercial. My thought is: why can't they just use that money to help those in need?

They spend some money on their overhead and salaries and give the rest away to people in need.

THEY DON'T THEY TAKE ALL THE MONEY AND KEEP IT FOR THEM SELFES.
