How about man's ability to speak and comprehend English through biology (brain, vocal chords).

What about accents? English has spread throughout the world, but has evolved. It's tenuous, but you could link it to speciation. You could hypothesise that in the future, two people both speaking "English" would not be able to understand each other. Use that as an introduction to "ring species" (you can look that up and get a better answer than I can give you)

You can talk from a evolutionary point. Introduce the theory of the Neanderthals vocalization and importance of language (if it only has to be about English, then you may want to include something else).
