when is enough going to be enough?

there is a guy here on answers who doing as any father i know killed the man who raped his underage daughter.
he got 8 years in prison. he served 5. the man who raped his daughter was going to be sent to some hospital until such a time as he was deemed better by doctors. it could have been as little as 2 years. so i ask when is it that we as a nation are going to stop putting up with treating these child rapist with kid gloves and start trating them as the animals they are?

throw them in a cage give them a bowl of water and throw in some raw meat once a day and hose them off once a week just like an animal at the zoo.

i wish i was.
i wish i had never done it.
i missed a lot of time with my kids because of that.
i never wanted to kill anyone.
