The Raiders just signed Jeff George and its not April 1st. The guy hasn't thrown a ball in a game in 5 years. What do you think? Is Tuiasasopo a goner? What about Vince Evans was he not available?

According to the team, it's "not clear yet what Jeff George's role will be with the team". Obviously signing Aaron Brooks was not the answer to the Raiders' offensive woes, Andrew Walters is hurt, and yes, Marques Tuiasasopo is all but gone. Why they ended bringing back Jeff George, no one knows. Hopefully the Raiders will never get to the point where they're going to need George as the starter...then they'll really be in trouble. Perhaps Al Davis wasn't able to find Tim Couch or Ryan Leaf and sign them to contracts.

I just herd about this! I'm shocked! I have been a Raider fan since they returned to Oakland. I hated Jeff George. He threw way too many interceptions. We booed him many times at games. Raider fans will not be happy. Tuiasosopo is a goner.

I'm surprised we haven't pick up Vince Evans. He's the perfect age for a Raider. I'm not sure if he has a criminal record or not, but if he does, he was born a Raider!

It was apparent that Randy Moss was not an Aaron Brooks fan. Jeff George, as much of a horse's *** as he is, can deliver the deep ball to Moss - as he proved when the two played together on the 99 Vikings. Al Davis has always favored an offense that stretches the field vertically. With Art Shell as coach, Al Davis is free again to indulge his whims without protest.

This is f'ing hilarious! Jeff George! I guess Aaron Brooks really sucks hard if they're signing Jeff George! Now, when I feel bad about the Bills, I can think to myself, "At least our QBs aren't so bad that we signed Jeff George!"

They're desperate. They should be, with a QB like Aaron Brooks. But getting Jeff George, even as a desperate move, is quite eye-opening.

you're basically getting your self right into a pissing contest. Time to enable go of the gangster mentality. the two events are working as a set to break the rustic. Whom ever comes after BHO, will proceed the ball rolling, basically like Bush persevered Clinton's stride. provide up being a lemming, and attempt to have an unique concept. there is the place the concern is, no person thinks for themselves any further.

HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG SINCE WE HAVE SEEN THE MAN WITH THE "MILLION DOLLAR ARM AND NICKEL HEAD" IN A GAME? I THINK THAT TUIASASOPO HAS PROVEN THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES, LIKE A LOT OF RAIDER DRAFTED QB'S-TODD MARINOVICH, BILLY JOE HOBERT ETC. NOT THAT I'M KNOCKING THE RAIDERS-I'M A FAN BUT THEY DON'T SEEM LIKE A PLAYOFF TEAM TO ME. EVEN W/A GREAT PRE-SEASON RECORD I THINK THAT THEY ARE A COLLECTION OF ILL FITTING PARTS. BACK TO JEFF GEORGE- I DON'T REALLY THINK THAT HE WILL PLAY-EVEN IF ART SHELL REMEMBERS HIM FROM BETTER DAYS. GEORGE WAS SIGNED BY THE BEARS 2 YEARS AGO AND NEVER MADE IT ONTO THE FIELD BECAUSE OF CHAD HUTCHINSON-WHO HAS SINCE RETIRED FROM THE LEAGUE, COURTESY OF 3.5 MILLION DOLLAR SIGNING BONUSES FROM MY DALLAS COWBOYS AND ST. LOUIS CARDINALS- OF MLB BASEBALL. GEORGE HAS ALWAYS HAD A GREAT ARM, BUT HIS STUPIDITY HAS OUTWEIGHED HIS GIFTS AND IS NOW OLD AS WELL. IF HE COULDN'T BEAT OUT HUTCHNSON HE WON'T BEAT OUT BROOKS OR WALTER.

I guess Al Davis was trying to find a player who is even more of an a**hole than Davis himself, and it looks like he has succeeded. How lucky for them that they didn't have to compete with too many teams for a guy who's approaching 40 and has a reputation for being an absolute cancer as a teammate.

Oh, well, this is the Raiders we're talking about, so moronic moves like this shouldn't be surprising. As long as they keep making moves like this, they'll continue in the middle of the pack. For every step they take forward, they seem to take one back with moves like this.
