If you are Portuguese let me know that when you answer. What do you consider yourself?

This was not a question written out of mean-spiritedness? I just didn't know. Actually, I wish I had phrased the question differently. I would have asked how Portuguese people living in America identify themselves (such as in the census).

It depends on what color they are.

Portuguese people are White/Mediterranean in terms of race, just like all other Southern Europeans.

The term "Latin" only applies to linguistic origin of romance languages - Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, and Romanian. Some people mix up linguistic origin with race, BUT they are two different things!

Northern Europe = White/Nordics
Southern Europe = White/Mediterraneans
South and Central America = Latinos/Hispanics

OF COURSE THEY ARE WHITE
1) Do you ever saw a Portuguese in your life?
2) Do you know that Portugal is in Europe?
3) Have you ever went to school?
4) Are you retard?

I am not Portuguese, I am Brazilian, but most Brazilian whites have Portuguese blood. But you are a retard, you probably think that there is no whites in Brazil, that we are all from the American-invented "hispanic race", or the "brazilian race", since that Brazil is not Hispanic country. But I will not be surprise if you think that Brazil speaks Spanish, or even Portugal.

Why Americans are so isolated from the world?

I'm a Portuguese citizen, and I'm white, but I'm also considered latino/hispanic, because I'm half Puerto Rican.

Well I'm your average American mixed-breed, but there's some Portugeuse in there. I think they're considered white, but I've known a couple and they sure were tan.

Portugal is part of Europe and is therefore considered to be a "white" country.
