i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, he is rasing his son who is now 8 years old, his ex girlfriend (the childs mom) is taking him to court for visitation, she sees him all the time, pays no child support or nothing, i came across a bunch of letters, 1 stating that the little boy wasnt his, and how stupid he was to beleive he was, my problem should i tell him, he adores this child and it would kill him to find out, we got a lawyer who said everything she is asking for she will probaly get, no support, she wants all holidays and birthdays etc. she has a daughter that she gave to her mom, is there a way i can get a d.n.a. without them knowing it, hair samples etc. or should i leave well enough alone

1. You need a better lawyer.
2. The parent needs to consent to take DNA from the child. You can be charged with battery if you do it without consent.
3. Even if he is not the biological father, he may be ruled by the court to be the childs actual father, as he has cared for him for so many years.
FYI - If you try to convince him the child is not his, he will likely accuse you of being jealous of the time he spends with the kid.

Even though it will hurt him you need to tell him the truth. The child is 8 and chances are that he will still father the child anyway.
I just think that he has a right to know..
I have to ask where you found a note that said that????

Get a DNA test Not in secret
In Oregon a woman will have to pay child support if the father has custody and mom wants visitation rights.
