You raise everything within the parathesis to the 3rd power. So (3a^2)^3 = 3^3 * a^2^3 = 27a^6

First you have to distribute the third power to both the "3" and the "a^2". Answer should be 27a^6, because 3 * 3 * 3 = 27 and a^2 * a^2 * a^2 = a^6.

when a product has an exponent, each factor is raised to that power.
(3a^2)^3 = 3^3 x a^2x3 = 27 x a^6 = 27a^6

Depending on the vaue of "a", multiply "a" by itself to square it or raise it to the power of 2. So if "a" is 4, then four times four is 16. Complete the brackets by multiplying that answer by 3 to give 48. Then cube the 48 by multiplying 48 by 48 by 48. This is 110592. Voila!

so you do everything seperate.
first you cube 3.
so now you have 9
then you have to do the a
i cant tell if a z is next to the a or a 2, so ill do it both ways.
of its a z, the answer will be 27az3, with the 3 and the z being powers.
if its a 2, then you get 27a to the 6th

(3a²)³
When expanded this basically means:
3aa x 3aa x 3aa
So when simplified you get:
27a^6 (the "^" means "to the power of")

27a to the 6th . You have to distribute the three to the three and the a-squared. three cubed equals 27 and a-squared cubed equals a to the sixth
