As far as I know there is no consistent scientific explanation for it. If you get it a lot, it could be related to certain medications/drugs you are taking. Some people also think it is like a mild (and harmless) seizure or a misfiring of neurons.

I thought you will feel that I've already answered this, but here it goes....
Well, I'm in no way a psychiatric or anything, but I had some Deja vu episodes. The psychiatric I went told me that there is this part in the brain (well, in the head) that is in charge of moving new images to the history or past ones. Sometimes, the liquid between the neurones won't transfer correctly the electric signals, and some new images gets placed wrongly as a past experience. That's why you see something new, and feel that you have already went through it.
Well, that's what I think I went through.

I personally think...deja vu is not so much like I've done something or done this "same" thing in a past person or past life...but like I've dreamt it before....like I've dreamt this exact thing before...I think deja vu come from somewhere in the inner brain that stores parts of our dreams and that's where that feeling comes from.

yeah it is kinda cool and i get it all the time. i think its just something that you see and experience and then something reminds you of it later and its like its happening all over again. I really do get it a lot and its like "omg i already saw this!" but its cool so i dont worry about it too much.

dude, it happens to me all the time, i thought i was the only one,
i dont really know why but i always think that,
an experiace feels familiar because it is,
you were here before and you kind of made a mess, so the universe send you back to fix your mistake, so its only natural that you'd recognise some things on the journey

Answer one and four seem to match. The flashes of the brain are so fast that present and past appear as one.
