To criminalize undocumented workers is a very bad idea. To criminalize those who employ them is also a very bad idea.
The solution does not lie in the criminalization of more people and their activities.
Many many people who are not here legally pay taxes but are denied all but the most basic of medical care.
The government even issues these folks id numbers to pay the taxes with, without any of the guarentees or benefits afforded to other tax payers.(just ask a local tax office)
Consider the jobs many of these folks do, that you and most lazy fat americans won't? They help our economy and we will reward them with making them criminals?
Of course with each passing year we become less and less the land of the free, so perhaps the number of folks coming in illegally will stop, and the numbers of us leaving illegally will rise.
