I have had acne since I was 9. I am now 13. I have tried tooth paste, Clean & Clear, and proactive. Each one failed except proactive helps only a little bit. What are some easy was to provent acne. I have it on my cheecks, forehead, on the bottom of my lower lip, 2 small ones on my nose, and a cluster of the on my chin. Also, I heard that if you spit in your hands and rub it on your face, the anti-bacterias in your spit kills some bacteria. Think that may help?

Go see a dermatologist. They can recommend a facial cleanser and sometimes antibiotics to clear up the skin. The worse thing you can do is pick and squeeze them.
I don't think that spitting on your hands will help. I think it will make it worse.
Try drinking lots of water. That helps hydrate the skin to keep it healthier.

I too have had a great deal of trouble with acne for years. Probably since I was 12 and now I'm 27. So I can identify. I have tried everything under the sun, Oxy, Clearsil, Differin, Retin-A, Proactive, etc. and all I need to use now is BeautiControl's All Clear®!

RESULTS ARE CLEAR!
87% of panelists in an independent study were delighted with an improvement in the overall appearance of their skin!
• 83% saw a reduction in acne
• 89% noticed a difference in acne prevention
• 93% experienced improved bacteria control
• 93% were amazed at the increase in healing time for irritated skin
Panelists used products as directed for 28 days.

I can tell you with full assurrance, you really don't want to rub spit on your face, this will add bacteria from your hand and mouth and clog your pores causing more pimples.

Common Myths
MYTH: Acne is caused by poor personal hygiene — dirt and oil that hasn’t been washed away.
FACT: Acne is a skin condition caused by overactivity of the glands that secrete oily substances onto the skin.
MYTH: The sun dries out greasy skin.
FACT: Sun exposure can increase oil production and aggravate acne. I recommend wearing our Cell Block-C SPF 20 daily or Sunlogics® SPF 30 if outside for any length of time.
MYTH: Too much junk food and fatty, fried foods like
French fries cause acne.
FACT: There is no evidence that pizza, chocolate, French fries or other greasy foods cause acne. Some believe sugar causes acne, which is why chocolate has been thought to cause acne. Foods high in iodine and bromide such as shell fish, seaweed and multivitamins may cause flare ups. Avoid these foods if you consistently break out after eating them.

Some things for YOU to do are:
• Cleanse your face twice daily, every morning and every night.
• Apply a moisturizer before you leave your bathroom.
• Exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week.
• Try not to touch your face through out the day.
• Don’t pick! This can cause permanent scarring.
• Shampoo regularly. Oily hair adds to skin surface oil.
• Wash and change your pillow case often.
• Always use oil-free products.

For everyone: TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR ACNE
• Be sure to follow your All Clear regimen on a consistent basis for best results!
• Never go to bed with makeup on!
• Shampoo regularly. Oily hair adds to skin surface oil.
• Use oil-free foundations such as Secret Agent Under® Cover Makeup.
• Don’t pick! This can cause permanent scarring.
• After a blemish has completely healed use Demarkable™ Dermal Smoothing Lotion to help lighten the appearance of spots left by acne.

Oh My God No! Whoever told you that, you should beat them up. lol I'm just kidding. Your hormones are going crazy at this age. There may not be a whole lot you can do because this is coming from the inside of your body. First, keep your skin clean. The oils in your pores are whats causing the build up and pimple. Second, don't put your hands on you face. Your hands carry a lot of germs and you will also be smearing the oils from one pore to another. Third, pay more attention to what you are eating. I know this is hard but pizza, chocolate, french fries, actually anything with a high fat content will contribute to oily skin. You'll never hear a dermatologist recommend this but sometimes a suntan will camouflage acne. (PS: don't put anything that will irratate your skin like noxzema or rubbing alcohol.) whoa, whoa, whoa....back up. Okay, for starters acne is caused by bacteria having a field day in a plugged oil gland. Usually this happens due to dirt or natural oils pluging the gland. Knock off all the over the counter crap and go see a dermatologist. Usually a dermatologist will prescribe a two pronged attack at acne: 1) antibiotics to kill the buggers living in your oil glands 2) surface treatment like a washing regiment and topical medications like adapalene or retin-A. You need to be diligent with what your doctor tells you. Trust me, things will get slightly worse for about 2 weeks before things get better...but trust me when they do you'll be amazed! What ever you do, DO NOT spit on your hands and rub your face! The oils on your hands are only going to make things worse. Good luck!

ok. my tips are inexpensive, easy and will become very routine.

first: twice a day use noxema original face wash and leave it on for about 2 minutes then rinse. removes all oils and keeps it oil free for whole day. number two, use clean and clear blackhead astringent. i no u used clean and clear before but this really helps wiht my method. apply on cottonball and rub all over face. it will remove anything not removed by face wash, get rid of pimples, and make blackheads smaller even after first try. do this day and night and in a week your face should be almost acne free. this method also teaches face to produce less oils, so ull be less prone to acne. i suggest also putting on any day moisturizer morning and before you go to sleep. it helps during the day because wont allow sun to dry face and cause skin to want to produce more oil than it should. spf 15 should work fine.

good luck!

Definitely DON'T spit and rub it on your face. The bacteria and oil on your hands will only worsen it. Drink lots of water. Cliche, i know, but it does make an improvement. If it's really bad, try the dermatologist...it may not work for you---it didn't for me, but I promise it got so much better once I got past fourteen or fifteen.

Try exfoliating this will clean off any dead skin cells trapping dirt, bacteria, etc under your skin...only do it like 2 times per week, keep your face clean all the time, even if you just wipe it with a damp papertowel when you use the rest room. At night and after showers use Oxy or any bezoil peroxcide.

I feel for you! The only thing to do, if all those other things have not worked, is to go to the dermatologist. They have various treatments that may help you. I used to have terrible acne in college, but then I finally grew out of it in my late 20's thank goodness! Good luck!
