Women started "appropriating" male clothing in the 1920's, when lots of fashion rules and social rules were being broken just after WW1. "Super-feminine" dress (corsets, lace, floor-length skirts, picture hats) began to disappear, in favor of more practical, sedate clothes that women could do a variety of jobs in, and live in outside the home---then, by 1960, even womens' gloves and hats were gone. The next step was "unisex" dressing, where women dressed in completely masculine styles (jeans, tees, sweats, pantsuits, boots, etc.)---some people think, to take on some of the "power" of the masculine elite. They were comfortable physically and psychologically, because they were identifying with male power. Some women now dress in unisex clothing their entire lives, even worrying when their female bodies don't look good in slim masculine styles..
For a man (born into the ruling power group) to wear female clothing challenges the social order, and disturbs our assumptions.

It's not thought of as strange for men to wear "skirts" or "hanging clothes" where it is an accepted part of the male culture...just look in Arab or African culture. Similarly, women do not wear clothes where it is not an accepted part of the female culture. The point is that when a man OR woman purposefully dresses in clothes that are never accepted as an article of clothing for his/her gender, they are making a statement beyond their dress but more towards their sexual orientation.

positioned on what you pick, yet understand that skirts at the instant are not decrease to slot a adult males physique style. the female style is plenty extra versatile. our bodies are formed in a fashion which permits the female extra recommendations. You stated the baptism once you have been youthful, at that age the female and male bodies have not got the form or action types that they do as adults. Now the action types are a great deal besides. at the same time as status nonetheless something might look super interior the mirror, ten paces later, no longer a great gamble. observe that a kilt is decrease in a diverse way than a skirt, it hangs diverse, it strikes diverse, it seems undesirable on a girl. so a procedures as adult adult males wearing heels: Prince and KISS. If every person desires to assert that no guy can positioned on heels and seems solid, tell them to flow butt heads with Gene Simmons. additionally, in case you look back to colonial days, basically adult adult males wore heels. maximum adult adult males have not got the legs or the soundness (a adult males center of gravity is larger than a women persons, returned the action types play an important function right here) to tug off a solid look in heels. inspite of the undeniable fact that people who've it, have it. Edit: Auty, just to make sparkling, there are various pagan rituals and communities who're no longer gay friendly. it truly is not a count of dislike, or bias, it truly is many times felt as unbalanced skill. maximum pagans with under ten years under their belts, can't cope with the differing energies till they have been around it for the final public of their practice. it truly is like utilising in a snowstorm at the same time as living interior the barren region. some can do it, maximum won't be in a position to.

Most men,s clothing is not gender specific. Pants are worn by both men and women. But dresses are for ladies only.

because people assume that the ideal is the male. to want to be male whether in dress(pants, tie), career(laywer, chef),or personality (athletic) is considered normal. to want to be female is not normal because society does not consider it the ideal. even if the want only ranges as far as silk panties (yeah they do feel great!!) or skirts (great way to catch a breeze and can have fantastic range of motion when running for a bus)

In some cultures men wear clothing (kilts, thobes, skirts, etc) that we would associate as women's clothing. Still in those cultures the men who wear that clothing are doing so to look like men.
Women in our culture who wear pants are not trying to look like men.
However men in our culture who wear dresses, skirts, pantyhose, etc, are not trying to look like men -- they're trying to look like women. They are rejecting their natural gender for another which in any culture is not considered healthy.

cause men's clothes are made unisex and anybody can wear them cuz of the comfort, but women's clothing is made strictly for their body, and not every body could wear it.
For example, you have a violin case and a cello case, right? The cello case can work as a violin case if necessary but you can't fit the cello in the violin case cuz, duh, its too big

Well, come and get my panty hose and heels, honey! I agree with you! The things women wear is "male" invented and indulged. It's just ridiculous! Wear whatever you want and enjoy your life, dear....don't worry about what's "gay" or what is not...just "be"....:)
