If everything happens for a reason and it all has a predetermined outcome, then why do we have motivational speakers, shools, etc.
I mean it would just happen anyway ,right? (Assuming fate is real)

Because, it is written in their fate/destiny to "be" (exist). Therefore, like it or not, it's gonna happen....that's the whole idea of "fate".

...just like my fate decided that at this point in time I would be writing this exact response to this very question :-)

Fate, IMO, originated from religion. Really, fate is not particularly real. I don't believe in fate because things just happen and "things" happen because of humans...not some heavenly celestial being like God. Not that i have anything against God.
