Did you call or visit the school and ask? There will be a record of staff, same as a student record.

If it is a university, there is a reference book called _World of Learning_ that lists staff/faculty of an educational institution for a particular year.
You can see if a local library has this by going here (http://worldcat.org/oclc/1112439&referer=brief_results) and entering you zipcode. Click on a library's holding and see if that library has the reference for 1989.

Go to the local library or school library and look up their school year book for the year.
or call the school librarian and ask if she/he can do it for you.

try going to the schools library and ask to see their yearbook for that year. usually they have that kindda information.
