Which two (2) of your 5 senses would you lose...?

in order to gain infinite knowledge? And furthermore, why would you choose those particular senses? (sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell)

I would lose my sense of smell because not all things smell good. And some of teh stuff that is worth smelling can give me allergies.
Next I would lose my hearing so that Im not bothered by random people wanting things from me. Anyone would have to directly acknowledge me.
The other three senses are very important, sight because we use our eyes to get most of our interactions with the world around us, taste because eating is something we have to do to survive...might as well enjoy it, and touch because that is what human beings want more than anything else...someone to touch and care for...as a friend, parent or lover.

I think to gain infinite knowledge, you would have to gain a few not lose two.

I would (since I have to answer to participate and all...) want to lose my sense of touch and smell (as long as I could still taste without it)

Touch because I don't care to touch anything or anyone anyway and smell because there is too much unpleasant in the way of odors in the world that I could do without. Everything else I absolutely could never live without for any reason... Not while here on earth anyway.

in one of my college classes we were asked this same question except it was for ture love instead of infaninte knowledge. but for eaither my answer would be the same....Voice and smell because I am not really a big talker I use ASL more to comunate anyway for the simple fact that I feel I can get my meaning across better using it (odd I know but nobody ever said that I was any where near 'normal') and smell becuase it is not really that big of a thing with me. It is really eaier to say why I would want to keep the others but you get the general idea...I had to wright a six page paper on this topic but you get the short version.

If I gained infinite knowledge I would lose immediately all 5 senses, what would be the purpose of acquiring such knowledge, if later one cannot explore, discover and surprise with each new conquest you made?

Easy! Sight and hearing. They are the senses we use to learn so I wouldn't need them very much.
The others are used to feel so I would need them.

i could no longer stay without my sight. being waiting to work out is my substantial necessity on the subject of my senses. being waiting to work out colors is something I treasure.
