Does anybody else think that radio stations that play pop music and repeat the same songs at least 2 times an hour is obnoxius? There are 2 different stations on LI NY that play the same damn songs over and over and I'm sick of it. I don't listen to those stations anymore because of this. I grow tired of hearing the same Nellie furtado, Shakira, Beyonce, Nick Lache, Black Eyed Peas I mean to the point where I want to kick my radio?
Does anybody else listen to this kind of station or better yet when you hear these songs over and over again aren't you tired of them.
I must hear Furtado's song at least 6 times a day and I'm sick of it.
Bring in a good radio station please.

I couldn't agree more! Years ago stations tried to sound different and play diverse music to get the newest artists exposure and let their audience response determine the music. Either we as audience members have gotten too quiet or radio stations have consolidated and many are now owned by large corporations who set the play list. I think it is a combination of both.

I don't understand why there can't be more than 30 or so songs played in a 24 hour period either. Great observation! That's why I listen to Yahoo videos -- I rate the video / song and artist and build a set that I like and then Yahoo just plays it back for me randomly and intersperses songs/videos I have not rated.

Waaay cooler than radio!!

The only solution, buy an ipod and be your own radio station. Ever since I bought one in 2003, I have rarely listened to the radio.

You should listen to a rock n roll station, because they usually have a no-repeat workday thing going on. Besides, pop music sucks, and when pop station gets ahold of a rock song, it's gets overplayed, and then it starts to suck, too.
