I think it's sad that even has to be addressed in our advanced world. Women are just as good if not better than men and shouldn't be expected to marry or have kids in a time frame or at all if they don't want to. We're not cave people anymore and it's not about who is stronger (that's why man ruled for so long). I don't want to stay home and take care of a bunch of kids and then a husband when he gets home too. What a horrible life.
I liked the movie. I liked how she rebelled against her parents for what she truly loved.

The movie was fresh and interesting.
Indian culture is very different from Western culture. Women from other nations are considered second class citizens with limited rights. This movie gave you a glimpse of another culture.
I didn't notice any apparent unfair character portayal.

it was funny.
as for unfairly portraied, you wouldve had to base them on someone else for them to be unfair, but they are who they are suposed to be. they arent goign by some book so no i dont think so. if you think that the stereotypes are bad i could agree, but the characters in the movie are exactly that, characters.
