Anything will be fine. I'm sure he will get plenty of expensive presents from family and close friends. Enjoy yourself, I'm sure nobody will really care what you buy.

Look around at stores like Early Learning Centre, Argos or the Disney Store. Theres loads of decent toys for a Tenner or even a cute outfit from a store that does baby wear

theres a lot of things you could get him from clothes to teddy's to dvd's. A teletubbies dvd is a good idea or a t-shirt or pair of shoes, a nice blanket or his own cutlery.
Please stop worrying about the fact you only have a tenner no-one will expect you to buy something expensive and to be honest sometimes the smaller presents are the most popular

There are loads of good bargains to be found at Tesco or Asda, £10 there could get you a teddy plus some useful things like socks and vests, sounds boring but Mums like practical presents espescially at that age.

Go to the early learning center tell them you're problem and i'm sure they'll recommend something educational for a 1 year old and still remain inside your budget. Most parents prefer these educational toys to the cuddly toy rubbish they get from every tom dick and harry.

If he's only gonna be 1 then buy him a teddy, it's within your price range and is always a good gift for little ones.
