Is the war on terror the end of the US as we know it?

The war on terror is taking a grand toll on America's image throughout the world(like we care....). People are dying and our image of upholding peace throughout the world is crumbling before our eyes. Is terrorism the end of America(or the world?) as we know it? will this cause the third(maybe final?) world war to break out?

The beginning of the end for US as we know it.... Ya maybe.... but once it's end is near then a new US evolves, perhaps not called the United States of America as a Democratic Republic. Rome burned in one day. Eventually the Romans were no more, but the citizenship survived to grow into many small countries with diverse languages & cultures & remains as interesting history which we all find fascinating. So too, shall the US of A. But the world will continue to change & evolve as it did even if some trigger happy yoko goes postal & tries to blow it to smithereens. Something will evolve from the rubble, & I hope its more intelligent that we are! Terrorizm isn't our end, just a means to an end, but we can rewrite the ending if we choose too!

the so-called war on terrorism is the justification given for those people who are dying, to gain access and control of chosen areas in the middle-east, those areas will be used for strategic military positions to keep an eye on the doings of the far-east.
