WOW! You do have alot of questions. I don't know what the variances are from state to state, or what the other requirements are but in New York Stockbrokers must take a Series 7 exam http://www.investopedia.com/professionals/series7/ which is a 6hr, $225 exam
For real estate in New York, you have to take a 45 hr state licensing course, take an all day exam, be sponsored by a broker and renew the license every 2 years.
