you have to have a yahoo 360 if you have it just put the pic on you 360 and then go on answers and go to change info and click use 360 picture

Make a Yahoo 360 page and upload the photo you want on there, then come back to Answers and edit your profile and choose to use your 360 pic.

first you would save the picture to your computer, then click on the picture of your avatar and there will be something on your information page that says edit my info, and then click on that and somewhere on that page you can choose from an avatar, no picutre or your own pic (yahoo 180 or something) and you should be able choose one you have saved

Put the picture you want on your yahoo! 360 account. On your yahoo!answer profile select either add detail or edit info.

most people make a 360 page and it gives you the option to use a pic you loaded onto your 360 page

There r two options with u.
Either to use ur pic or use ur avatar. If u want to use ur avatar. Visit http://avatar.yahoo.com Make ur avatar there and save it. Or u bring the icon of avatar on ur yahoo toolbar. To do so cilck the pencil, select personal options, select add edit button and check the box of avatar and then click finished. It will bring the icon of avatar on ur yahoo toolbar which can be used by u anytime as per ur convenience.
Secondly, to use a pic, u need to hv 360 page. Visit http://360.yahoo.com to create ur 360 page and upload ur photo there. Make sure that u set ur photo to be primary photo which u want to use on yahoo answers. After doing these things, come back on ur yahoo answers profile. Here u click edit info and then click either the circle of using ur pic or the circle of using ur avatar. Now click the preview and save. It will solve ur problem.

on your yahoo 360 page make sure your picture is selected as primary in "edit your pic"
