Obviously the country is still decided between the two major parties, but once your candidate loses in the primaries, do you then not vote at all, and if you do vote, what are the deciding factors for your vote between Republican/Democrat?

I vote for the candidate that I believe is the best person for the job. I usually do not vote for a third party candidate as many are "spoilers" or just plain weird.

Voting for the lessor of two evils is still voting for evil. There is little difference between the two. Voting for either one continues the present political quagmire.
I vote my conscience.
I vote Libertarian.

Ignore parties. Think independently. Vote your conscience.

{EDIT}

The above advice was both generally applicable and specific to your question. Whether your preferred candidate is one of the majority or not, if you are going to vote, then vote your conscience. Vote for who you think would be the best choice.

Otherwise, you are saying "I support X" when really you don't. And that's not being true either to yourself, nor to the process.

I still vote for who I think is best for my family and I...sometimes the choices are not my idea choices but it is what it is....I don't vote for someone just because they are in a particular party though...but I do based on issues tend to lean towards one side...not by ignorance but by choice.

while the rest of the country is voting for libertarians, independents, etc. you should vote for the green party so that they have a few seats in the thingy. come on you have to care for the environment at least a little.

i vote for anyone who realizes that the intelligence communitry (cia, dia, nsa, etc.) are mostly latent homosexuals with very small sexual organs. they have a desparate need to pretend thay are big shots when they are actually insignificant little nobodies.
