I use AOL instant messanger right now, its fast but you have to have to screen names. Are there other programs out there that just do transfers?

Depending on what your computers have set up you would probably be better off setting up an FTP connection. To do this, you will need to download an FTP client to one computer and an FTP server to the other (these can be found for free at http://www.download.com/ along with instructions on setting them up).

You could zip all of your files, create a torrent and use a bit torrent on the other computer.

You don't have to release the torrent to the public, just use it for your self.

You can do this with the program UTorrent, which is free.

It basicly serves the files right to your other computer. And it will go as fast as the slowest connection between the two computers, which can be very fast. You can even control how fast it will download...

i'm fairly effective you are able to, ive not in any respect tried notwithstanding. i imagine it should be too a lot difficulty transffering between a computing device and a Mac notwithstanding. i ought to easily use a hub or a transportable hard disk thats compatible with both OSs, its a lengthy procedure yet thats the purely way i imagine ought to artwork.

I use YouSendIt. You upload your file, (up to 100 megabytes) and enter the recipient's e-mail address. They get a message with a link to download the file. You don't even have to be online at the same time.

torrent is always good. get a client, i'd recommend bitcomet. if you want a simple transfer use limewire . with either clients you need to use a screen name. i don't think there's program that would let you do otherwise. (how would you know who's giving what to who?)
