dont worry i do too, dont feel weird just be yourself and if you see something cute buy it! whats there to be ashamed or embarrassed about?! Just go in and ignore it, shop, and if you see anyone talk about you just give them a look and walk away, you may think they are better looking than you but your a lot more beautiful on the inside!

That's sad that you don't feel comfortable or welcomed, yet you feel the need to represent their brand.
If it's all about the tag on your shirt, then you're being a conformist, wanting to fit in with the crowd that makes you feel most ousted by. I'm not saying you should buy Wal-Mart or Kmart clothes.. but if those places make you feel less of yourself.. don't go.. period.
You can get the same clothing brands online. The first guy posted the Abercrombie website.. I know you're young, and still in school.. but don't forget who you are.. it's not the label that makes ppl like Rach12

hey dont worry about it sometime I feel the same way.. but really a lot of the people in there are totala jerks and bimbos and homos like that other guy said. You havae every right just as much as they or anyone else to be and shop in that store. Just keep in mind its your right to feel comfortable.. dont care about what anyone else in that store is saying or thinking (and im sure it isnt as bad as u think im sure no one is talking about u) you are paying enough money for their clothes so u might as well feel comfortable and have a fun time shopping screw those idiots.. have u ever seen how much makeup they wear.. or hair dye.. or how orange they look (their so called tan) and they really need to eat a sandwhich.. those ppl got problems and are stuck up fake snobs
** i am not saying that ALL abercrombie and fitch employees act this way.. heck i have friends that work in a&f and hollister but from the way that you are describing these people i would think this is the way the are..

Do not let the fashion industry dictate what you should look like. They and others make money off the desperation they create. Be a smart girl and give a damn. You are you, package and content all neatly tied up in a wonderful person and available only on a take-it-or-leave-it basis.
You can wear whatever you feel good in. No reason to be self-conscious. Just make sure your choice of clothes (and brands) reflects your personal preference, not what others say you should be wearing or look like.

Abercrombie clothing is my fav... but truly the staff they hire is for image only... don't get paranoid over this as they are making $10 - $12 (I think) an hour and hopefully you're not... you're a paying customer so you can prance around the store like king sh*t if you wanted... if they act up then rip them apart...

A&F does this on purpose. Their clothes “must be cool if the hottest people work there”. Think about it, you’ll probably agree. Solution? Come to grips that they hire these people to make the rest of us covet what they sell –or- get a job there yourself. Good Luck.

I walk in with my mom most of the time. But sometimes, I feel the same way. Like everyone thinks i'm the dorky girl who likes to hang out with " mommy."

Well stop being such a twit and it will all just fade away like a bad teenage zit.
That's what they are SUPPOSED to do to you... this way you want to be more like them to regain some sense of lost dignity and you spend more money!
Duh! I see it works too huh?
While your at the mall... run on over to Pac-Sun... Help out my stock because it's in the crapper... * glares at you with my charm and youth full good looks to make you feel inadequate and listen to me... OBEY.... OBEY! Buy Pac Sun... You want to be a sk8ter... you will be a sk8ter

You really need those clothes?
How about shopping somewhere else, but if you just can't find it in yourself to do that, then why don't you just throw some ugly stares their way and realize that you're just cooler than they are.
