look....first we saw germany in the world cup 2006 and it was the best team in the world cup.......but i wanna tell every one whom saw GERMANY VS ITALY match....germany deserved a penlty before 8 minutes from the original time at the end of the match when the italien defender jumeped above LUKAS PADOLSKIe IN THE PENLTY CORT....so i think italy didn't deserve the world cup...and it has to be germany whom take the cup not italy or france and every body knows france is weaker than germany and italy is weaker than germany...............and i wanna make a compare between italy and germany playres......
KLOSE is better than DEL PIERO
BALLACK is better than TOTTI
PADOLSKIE is better than GILADRINO
KHAN is better than BUFFON..............i think the luck was with italy not the game..........

Great another whiner. OK her goes, I saw plenty of stupid German dives in that game and the score was 2-0. Would you feel better if it was 1-0 or 2-1? Same difference in the end
Granted on any given day the Germans could have beat a French or Italian team if they were playing poorly that day. But they didn't - deal with it. France beat Brazil fair and square, although I wouldn't bet 2 cents on either France or the Italians doing that if the game was held today. That's just the way it goes. In 2002 Italy lost to South Korea, those are the breaks move on and get a life.
Addendum:
I just read Lady_Starlight's response. Perhaps the reason everyone celebrated the German 3rd place win and didn't care about the Italians was because.... you know... IT WAS PLAYED IN GERMANY!!! DUH

Luck or cheaters, Italy won, but I don't recall a team being favored so much by referring as Italy did. 2 non given Pks against Ghana, ridiculous 2nd red card for the US team. Not even going to mention Pk they got on the last minute against Australia. I don't recall the Pk mentioned on Podolski, but I do recall a PK on Malouda during the second half of the final, was much more of a Pk than the 1st. And Zidane being sent off based on video images (ok he deserved it). Ya whatever, Italy won, guess their people needed it, one of the few good news they had in the recent past, they deserve a break.
Argentina had the best team in the WC, Khan wasnt even a starter, Podolski isnt a started in his club, but Germany did deserve it way more than Italy.

Yes, I totally agree with you.
Germany was in best shape, had the best team spirit and was, overall, the biggest pleasant suprise of the World Cup.
They didn't have all the 'magic' and 'playground' feel people expected to see from Brazil (but that was nowhere to be seen in the Cup), but they had a steady, fair and strong feel, combined with an optimistic attitude and a sense for fair-play (which can rarely or never be said about Italy).
It was simply a combination of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances that they did not win. Too bad.
As for the players you mentioned, I have nothing to add, it's true (but, of all the Italian players, I would state Buffon as being the best, after all).

Did you see after the third place match how everyone celebrated Germany's win, and when Italy "won" in the final, nobody really cared except for a few? It proves who is true champion and who is false. It's because Germany knew they were the real champs, not Italy...they only had bad luck to not make it to the final. And yes, Germany should have gotten a penalty late in regulation. But the referees are always conveniently blind in favour of Italy. And Grosso's goal was only pure luck. Germany can teach Italy a lesson any day, Italy only wins by cheating. I love France and they really deserved to win too. Deutschland is football powerhouse! They own the game! They can beat anyone. Italy doesn't deserve to win any game, they can't even beat Australia or USA...cheaters, it makes me so upset they stole the glory from who it truly belongs!

come on, germany r crap. u kw, its bcos they r playing at home tat they r thr to the semi. look at the refrees officating in the germany match, against costa rica n poland, its like their opposition r nt human. the germans can push, can kick n the refree nv give a thing..
