Ask questions. Not deep personal question but simple to answer generic questions. If you want to talk to a person watch what they are doing, writing talking about and then ask simple questions. how do remember all those football stats stuff like. Compliment people on the way they dress don't be overly pushy or you will drive them away. Remember people like to talk about themselves so after the conversation is started all you will probably have to say is really? No way! I didn't know that. Let them go be a listener and when the conversation looks like its about to end or runs dry throw out another bone(Something else they like to talk about).

So, its still the beginning of the school year, there's plenty of time to join things and make friends. For you, I recommend something that forces social interaction, try some kind of group activity where there is a lot of talking and working together. I recommend theatre, class council,or a speech or debate team. Sports sometimes aren't the best for teens with social difficulties.

Fist off, you need to get less arrogant about how you look.
Second, get involved in something. Everyone else is going to say the same thing. What ever you're good at, track, football, soccer, acting, singing, math, science, english, whatever. Pick a sport/ activity and stick with it. That's one way to meet people. Another is hanging out with your friend's friends and seeing how you like them. Decide what kind of person you want to be, and then pick who you want to hang out with. Yes, I just contradicted my self, but I'm just giving you options.

All you have to do is join things and talk to people just like after a test so that way you have something to talk about. then from there it is not soo bad i was a new kid like twice and i know how it is to try and meet people. if you just join things and talk it will be fine.

The best thing to do is be yourself. Just say "hi" and let it go from there. If you are friendly and outgoing, others will find you to be that way also. There might be others who feel the same way you do. Set the example, and break the ice by saying hello.

I had the same problem in school . I was pretty, nice shape, well kept. I discovered when I got older I had little or no friends because I wanted to seam so important or Knew most of it, done it all or just was to into me. Bragging about what I had or my family had. I had to learn to just be myself and people were drawn to me.

Clubs and activities. It may not be the coolest thing, but they look a lot better on college and job applications than "Bong Club member, '07,'08, '09.." and "Herbal Entrepreneurs - Pres."
