Hey i'm in 7th grade and I need an answer to this question :

Mr.Jacobson has a can of Mancala beans. he ask Bill to divide into sets of 48 beans. There are 389 beans in a can. How many can Bill make. Thanks everyone. Also, I know there's gonna be a remainder but It needs to have a whole number without a remainder.

389 beans ÷ 48 beans per set = 8.104 sets

just simplify 8.104 by rounding to the nearest WHOLE number & you have 8 sets

You take 389 beans and divide them by 48. round to the nearest whole number, and you will have your answer.

8 sets. but with a remainder, but trust me, when there cant be a remainder, u rather roud to the nearest, so in that case, it would be 9 sets! trust me!...im a math geek! well, good luck and i hope this helps!!!
