I have a mushroom in which I found in Florida, it has a pale red cap and a stem that bruised blue.

I am curious to know if this mushroom has hallucinagenic qualities, mycelium, etc.

Unless someone very familiar with mushrooms is absolutely certain that a mushroom is edible, it will be the Emergency Room of the hospital that tells you it wasn't... if you survive to get there and are able after the fact to hear, or see, or move.
Try taking it to a local University and see if their biology department has an expert.

I have the same curious tendancys on how good of a trip I can get outta munching on some shrooms but the truth is so many will kill you. The ones that get you high and the ones that stop your heart or make you violently ill are very similar. So I am leary of any of them. You don't want to be on a trip where every 2 minutes you freak out cuz you think you're gonna die! Its not worth it. Get some weed instead.

could be poisonous, the mushrooms that are hallucinagens are usually found on farms with cows, they grow in the cow manuer.

the hallucinogenic property is cause by a type of food poisoning, hallucinating is just the brain's reaction to the poisoning.

It could be poisonous too. Be careful. One mushroom can be good, but another can cause death.

"In reality, there are no simple guidelines to identify poisonous mushrooms. The only completely foolproof rule for preventing mushroom poisoning is of course abstinence — it's better to be safe than sorry."

Might be hallucinogen psilocybin Cubensis since you found it in Florida
But you should take a pic and post it to some site that can identify it. Try searching for a site and by God whatever you do don't eat it until you know for sure what it is.

hmm.. i'm not sure.

i'd be safe and take it to your local greenhouse or ethnic restaraunt and ask, just to be safe. y! answers might not be the best place haha.

some mushrooms aren't just hallucinagenic, but can literally kill you within a few hours. so it's not stuff to fool around with.

but other than that, if you eat it, hope it's tasty! i love mushrooms!

You might hallucinate for a minute...but then you will die. This is not an ok mushroom. Toss it. You want the ones that come from Astoria, Oregon! They are blue caps. Pretty nice.

Go ahead and eat it. If you die, so what, the world sucks anyways. I mean what is the rest of you life worth in comparison to a few hours of tracers?
