People can and do. Not a ten point answer, but it's blunt and true.

Technically, no since we do not have artificially wombs.

An ova and sperm may be joined, and an embryo is created, but it still must be carried to term by a human female. Those months the person would not be alone.

In theory after the baby is born a remote controlled robot could provide the "care" and feeding for the next few years until it was self sufficient at approximately age 10.

I assume this process would cause massive amounts of social and mental trauma. It would be "Live" but not "living".

If you mean can a person choose at the age of 20 to go and be a hermit till her grows old and creepy? Sure people do it all the time. You would probably go a little crazy in the head, but everyone loves an eccentric. Just get rich before you go, and the home coming at age 90 will be a blast!

I want to live alone, it would be better if i had a girlfriend, but they get annoying, and they cheat. Living alone really isnt that bad because if you need to live with someone then you couldnt survive living on your own. I would only live alone if i had a lot of money and a mansion, but i dont have money now so i will live only in a apartment. You can only spend your life alone if you are happy though, if you spend your life alone and not happy bad things happen.

In Principle :Yes, there are people that have done it. But in general: No, we are too social to get buy that way.

If you want to be alone though, you may want to ask yourself why that is. If you are concerned that you will be alone and it makes you afraid you may want to ask yourself what makes you afraid, and why you think you will be alone.

Now a person can spend their lives without a significant other. This does not mean they need to be chaste, or abstain. Most of the affection they would gain from their lover can be gained from good friends and close relationships.

No. If you live out your life in a cottage in a forest, are you the only life form in the forest? Alone? I think not.

I just wanted to be different than the above answers.

in a way, no.
if there is no one for one to relate with, that person will invent someway to release his thoughts and feelings.
it can be an imaginary friend, or an open conversation with their own thoughts
like it or not, we are a social animal.
