Retractable headlights are required by law to default to the open position. That means they are usually spring loaded to stay open. Most are pulled closed by a vacuum or electric motor. You likely have a fuse out or a broken motor.

Did you do any artwork less than the sprint or everywhere close to the vacuum hoses that would have led to the region? examine the vacuum lines that flow to them to ensure in the journey that they got here lose or if there's a kink in them.

Check the Fuse and the relay, they are susceptible to going out.
But you can wind them down with the knob by each lamp, if you must have them down.

Whatever is wrong, they did what they are supposed to do. they opened up so you can still drive at night. If there was a problem and they stayed closed, you'd be screwed.
