How do you get your 2 week old to do what all night?

You're going to have to elaborate on your question a bit.

If you're asking how to get a 2 week old to sleep all night, the answer is you don't. At this age the baby's stomach can only hold so much formula or breastmilk. He has to be fed several times throughout the day and that includes at night.

It may not be a long haul for you. Our daughter started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks... some children don't sleep through the night for months.

Just be patient and try to sleep when your baby sleeps.

Good luck.

2 weeks? Sweetie, that ain't nothing yet. Wait another month. She still won't be sleeping through the night. My son didn't sleep through the night till at about 10 weeks, and even now and again, he'll wake up once in the night for a bottle.

Every parent has to go through this, it's your rite of passage for becoming a new mom!

Your newborn will probably not sleep all night at this age. My son is 4 months now and didn't start sleeping 10-12 hours at night until he was over 2 months old. If your little one sleeps 4 hours at a time consider yourself blessed.

To sleep all night? Is that what you mean?

A two week old SHOULD NOT sleep all night!

They NEED to be fed about every 2 hours around the clock if they are nursing. (Breastmilk digests in about 90 minutes!) 4 hours or so if you are formula feeding. They are trying to double their birth weight in 6 months. Think how often YOU would need to eat to double your weight that fast!

Also, your baby's tummy is about the size of a walnut/his fist. TINY! It needs refilling pretty often!

Only babies on TV sleep through the night that young!

Are you formula feeding? well i nursed, and EVERYONE kept telling me to put the baby cereal in her bottle, to make her sleep through the night. According to recent studies, your not supposed to put cereal in their bottle at all! And their not supposed to have cereal til they're at least 4 months! Anytime before that is bad, because their digestive sytems aren't ready for solids.

Make sure that your baby gets a bigger meal at night time. Not just a snack... But for now, I'd even wake her up if she tries to sleep all night, to make sure she gets adequate weight gain, and proper nutrition. When she's ready, and older, she'll sleep better.

Just get him :)
I get my 15 month old all night too, some babies just like that.
Nothing is wrong with that, just make sure he is breathing well, avoid big pillows,blankets...
