I think bindis and other Indian wear is gorgeous (for those that don't know, it's a little jewel that Indian women and men place in the middle of their foreheads), but being a very non-Indian girl, I don't think I'll ever have a chance to wear them. I really want to be able to wear them once and a while (maybe just to parties), but do you think this is totally weird? If you saw a blonde-haired woman wearing a bindi would you laugh?

I think bindis are really neat, and I like it when people break the standard fashion rules. I don't think it's too weird, in fact, I saw a white woman wearing one at a party the other day. If you wear it with something that has a little bit of an Indian feel to it, you should be safe.

well it depends. if a woman was wearing jeans,a top, and bindi then that would look pretty weird. bindis look really nice with saris or any other kind of indian clothes. im indian so i know about all about bindis and stuff. if you really like bindis then buy a sari or something like that. nothing's wrong if a blonde-haired woman wears a bindi as long as she wears the proper attire. hope that helps!

unfortunately, i don't think it would really work. it makes sense to see indian women wearing them because it's part of their culture - if you were to go to india, i think it would be acceptable because it would be honoring their culture. here, however, i don't think it's such a great idea - some people might mistakenly think you're mocking the indian culture.

instead, you could try that rhinestone facial jewelry - just little rhinestones that can be temporarily glued on different spots on your face - they look great at the outer corners of your eyes!

I would laugh. I am sorry it is just not the thing to do. Indian women can wear them and look fine doing it but just not the thing to do girlie.

I'm not into bling.

But it might work with a costume for a party. If you've got a dude in your life, he could go as a rajah.
