God bless you for trying, sweetie, but there is nothing you can do to keep them from divorcing. You can be a support to each parent but try not to become your mother's "counselor" or best friend. That won't help you or her. I think if you concentrate on yourself right now, being a good person and an independent person, the best you can do is pray for them and pray that God's will be done. Perhaps after seeing how emotionally healthy you are, one or both of your parents will turn to you for strength or guidance. If they do, the best thing you can do then is encourage them to see a counselor or, if they soften to the idea later, to see a pastor for help.

This sounds selfish and awful but try to separate yourself as soon as you can - get your own place when/if you go to college or soon afterwards. Don't get enmeshed in their conflict. Just keep them in your prayers and be there to support your brothers as a good example and a source of advice.

I will pray for you all too. Email me if you'd like.

As much as you probably hate to admitt it you can't change thier feelings but I sue no GOD can! So pray. Talk to your pastor about getting your parents to church. You my not know this now but your parents splitting may be the best thing for them and for you an your brothers. you may have more peace when you see them and they may appear happier. It may seem bad at 1st but you'll warm up to the idea. God Bless You and Good Luck! I hope I helped you. And don't forget prayer is power!

Nothing. Be supportive to both. It's their problem, not yours and nothing you can do will change that. Even if you do manage to "hold them together", as soon as you leave, it'll be over. Let them be. Try to get your father to understand cussing is not the right way to handle any relationship (whether you want to stay married or not).

First of all it really isn't your place to get involved. Maybe you could take your mom out for lunch and tell her how you feel. Seek advise from a counselor in your church on giving your mom advise and whether you should even give advise.

Why not arrange for them to go away for a weekend...Being alone together may rekindle the love and passion that used to be there..Everyone needs to get away every now and then

your mom and dad need to sit down and make time for themselves before it's too late...

they need to talk.. even tired... they could lay down in bed.. and just cuddle up and talk for 1/2 before going to sleep...
