Inner city or suburb?

Never mind.

Say for example, you wanted to go to a movie with a friend. You'd want to know how much money you'd need.

The movie costs so much, the drinks, popcorn, candy, etc.

With math, you can figure out what you can afford, or if you need to make a choice between the different choices.

Math also helps in picking the size soda and popcorn. Is it worth the 0.25 or 0.50 for the larger size if you can now share the popcorn or soda so you can get something else too.

Or if you're shopping and saw earrings, and so forth and it was 20% off. Wouldn't you like to know how much it cost. How bout with tax?

You want to visit your friend a couple miles away and you're biking. You go a certain speed, how long will it take to get there. And more importantly, how long will it take to get home, so then you'd know when you'd have to leave by to be home on time.

Lots of uses. You'll see it more and more as you get older. Math helps with just about everything!

You use math all the time, without even realizing it.
Let's say you like a certain pop group and you want their album.
It has 15 tracks.

You have three options:
You can
A. Buy all the tracks on I-Tunes for $.99 each
B. Order the CD on the Internet from Amazon for $10 plus $3.50 for shipping
C. Buy the CD at Best Buy for $12 plus 5 percent tax.

Which is the best deal?

Math comes in handy for shopping. So you'll know how much something cost if it's on sale. Or if some thing is 2 for 5 dollars then you will be able to tell how much just one cost. Stuff like that. Percentage, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. All important for shopping.

Well first of all, learning osmething ealry will make it over all easier to know later in life so knowing the fundementals of math will help you leanr harder things in high school, instead of learning it in high school.
But being able to count money is one way, and statistic (which is in high school) is used a lot in real life, so learning what you are now will help then.

You can count how many cigs/joints you have smoked. Count how many partners you have had anal/vaginal/oral sex with. Figure out the % of the adults that want to nail you...

Other than that, not much. Kids act way too "old" and there are alot of sickos out there. Stay in school and educate yourself so you can move out of the trailerpark.
