It's bad. I am a graphic designer and have been for 12 years. The fonts don't work together at all. Just because the filters, bevels, etc. are available in photoshop doesn't mean you should use them.
The leading between "Love was their" and "only escape" is way too large. Not to mention just kind of looks like an afterthought swimming in the white background. The fonts also don't help convey any emotion.
It doesn't compel or tell me what the book might be about. It looks like she's a hitman but the copy tells me it's a love story.

Cover seemed static. You might get more readers with the kind of cover you had at the top. I'm over 50 and female. Also more into science fiction, fantasy and sword and sorcery than anything. When I read I want to escape so the further away from reality I can get the better! Good luck with your book. I write too.

I would never, in a million years, read that book.
For one thing, the cover looks terribly unappealing. Like a low-budget action-romance movie no one ever goes to see.
The title is so cheesy! Think a little deeper, please.
I read your excerpts and they were well-written but hardly intriguing.
The plot is predictable, at best.
Overall it seems like just another chick literature book that I would never want to read.

I don't think it would compell me to read the story. I know that everybody says to not judge a book by its cover but normally the ones with cool covers are the ones whose authors can afford it because they are good. So make it a little more appealing and your all set.

mmm, I don't think the image is the wisest decision for your book cover, I strongly believe that you might put the image into someone who has the experience to create a vision of what your readers might expect, such as a graphic designer.

reminds me too much of the Middle eastern conflict. I don't think I'd be interested in reading it- it just looks too harsh. Plus, with that massive gun in her hand, it does NOT look like "love was their only escape"--seems to me with a weapon like that, they'd have a couple of options for escape.

I like it, but it could use some cleaning up. You also may want to change the silhouette’s hair to further emphasize that it is a woman.

to me, im 16 and female, the cover seems okay. i'm not sure about too intriguing and im not sure about other opinions but there seems to be more font and color missing toward it. it seems too still. maybe a more colorful background? but i mean otherwise i think it's creative.
