The cheapest, and most rewarding, way to find out your family tree is to research it yourself. Go to the library and get a good book on how to do it, and ask your relatives for some basic info to start with. Most people's family trees aren't available anywhere ready-made.

you can get a lot of stuff off the net, my mum is doing ours ( im an adult ), she also goes to Edinburgh, to the records place, which is free but you do need an appointment, but set yourself a limit 'cos so far its taken her about 7yrs and shes got back as far as the boer war. have fun.

do it for yourself using the census info on the internet and visiting record centres, you never know you might enjoy it!
