The Good Life is in my oppinion when you wake up every morning with no bills, no health problems, no drama, and no problems to worry about. When you go to sleep at night you have the sense of a clear head and a comfortable carefree future.

To me a good life is making the most out of everything. Dying in your 90's with at least one really good friend from your childhood. Feeling the best of the good and the worst of the bad. Making it count, effecting as many people and as much life as you possibly can in a postive way. If I die and someone I knew or met talks about me to their child and that child remembers me, that means I did something right.

If there is a heaven I don't want to walk up to the pearly gates looking like a pristine 25 year old like nothing has happened to me . . . I want to be old, wrinkled, skidding in sideways on two feet with a martini in one hand and fried chicken in the other screaming "Whoo Hooo, what a ride!"

To me a good life is becoming the person that I've always wanted to be and being appreciated for it. I know something has gone right when people remember who I am, even if they've only met or seen me once. That's what I try to achive. Making a loving family and home, knowing who I am and when I don't figuring out the changes.

Having truly loved someone & having truly hated someone. Giving someone else a different perspective on something, maybe even changing their life. Helping someone with a problem; not helping someone with a problem and letting them figure it out themselves . . .watching progress at work.

A good life has nothing to do with material things or status. What is life if there is no worry or even pain? If we didn't know pain or worry or sorrow then how could we appreciate the moments when we have bliss, calm & love?

I think everyone has their own version what a good life for them would be, this is mine.

One that starts slowly, like a swelling, and then... POW you explode into the world like an unbearable earthquake and you rock the foundations of what society thought was true and you never smoke cigarettes in public and you always say your prayers every night before bed even though you still lie and cheat and **** your neighbors wife and then when everyone you love can't stand to even be in the same room with you you quietly die in your sleep at 30 and the whole world mourns the loss of their dearest and most admired child.

My definition of a good life...(sigh)...where do I start??

Well good life to me would be, hveing good health, hveing my family and friends by my side, doing wht I love to do(career wise), hveing a home, food, clothing... all the basic survival necessities. Being able to support myself and my loved ones, I'm single, so I guess I would also hve to say, someone (significant other) to share my life/happiness with.

There is sooo much more but I don't want to ramble...again

Chao

Taken from Quoteland, verbatim: To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.

-Anon., (widely and falsely attributed to Emerson, actually derived from a piece written by Bessie Anderson Stanley)

Freedom from sin but sin enough to have freewill, love in a way that compliments life, family always comes first, campfires under the stars, exploring my world, understanding God,accepting everything that comes your way and fighting when necessary, freewill to walk where you want,to talk as you want and believe what you want.Being accepted without judgement.Beer.Music.Faith that there's an afterlife, good food, quiet company, noticing childrens eyes as they learn, creation, more beer, more love, more music to drown away the fear of aloneness and the rushes off the place inbetween where your realization comes forth that God is real and Earthbound reality.I'm a junkie.Life is good.As long as I accept my place in it.Oh yea, dancing in the moonlight, skinnydipping, and pomegranates too.And beer.

A life where you could be in peace with yourself, never to say the word "what if". To be loved and to be able to love. To feel free and happy with the world.
