Watching a good movie, lights dimmed, sitting on the floor snuggling with a bottle of wine and some finger food such as cheese, crackers and smoked oysters.....of course with a dog around that pretty much makes that impossible. I used to enjoy going for walks too but that doesn't happen anymore. Romance seems to be a thing of the past.

Personally, it's the small things that I find romantic. Don't get me wrong, candlelight dinners by the beach, waltzing to romantic music IS romantic. But, the things you guys think we don't notice mean so much more. Here's my list : Holding the grocery bag after a long shopping trip, opening doors for me, making a CD with my favorite songs, remembering anniversaries, doing the dishes without being asked, catching an old movie or the couch, feeding each other pop corn during a movie, sharing your lunch, always leaving my favorite part of cake for me to eat, kissing me on my forehead..You get the gist

Sweet things show me the person is caring and thinks about me. I love atmosphere- candles (especially scented); flowers are really cool because they have all sorts of symbolic meaning (see the secret language of flowers). I don't like stupid useless gifts like stuffed animals that just create clutter. Give me something I am going to use so that I can think of you when I use it, or that won't last long (flowers). Holding hands and physical contact are usually romantic to me. Nice surprises, like having planned an outing or a movie date so that when I get home from work I'm treated.

Quiet moments alone, breakfast in bed, flowers or cards just because. Cute little text messages. A sweet caress, a loving look. Of course my husband enhances all this. Without him, there would be no romance for me.

i'm a simple kind of girl, so my answers may seem odd...but here we go:
while i'm doing dishes or cooking...a little hug and kiss on the neck
when i'm in the shower...he comes to wash my back
tells me he missed me while he was at work
he holds strands of my hair while i'm french-braiding my own hair
whispering i love you as we fall asleep
notices i've done my toenails
holds my hand while watching tv
it's all the little things that make a man romantic!!!!!!

When he takes kisses me so gently and caresses my face. When he runs his fingers up and down my arm, when he gives me those nice strong hugs, when he looks into my eyes and gives me a big wink. When he knows I am upset at something.. he just knows by the look in my eyes and I dont have to say anything at all. When he just holds me for the sake of holding me.

rose petals in a nice warm bath, with candles,
Dinner and wine, with a nice quiet night oust side in the moon light.

Any argument at all would ruin it.

Loud music.
