I had the talk with our oldest son at 12, he is now 14. Then I had the talk with our next oldest when he was 9, almost 10, and with our daughter we had talked to her when she was 8, almost 9.
Our youngest, he's 6, almost 7, so I hope I dont have to do anymore talking until he's at least 10 or 11.
Yeah they should sit you down and have a talk with you. Hell, who knows, maybe you could give them a few pointers. lol...
Hey look, dont sweat it... But you may wanna try the ambush technique. Basically you get them when they are alone, just the two of them. And, this will take alot of guts on your part, but just be blunt and ask them, "Mom, Dad... lets talk... I want to know about sex, where do babies come from, whats an orgasm, etc.... "
Ok, maybe not what an orgasm is, but eh... At least ask them about sex and babies. If they give you some BS about storks, and so on.. Come ask me and I'll try to give you a no BS response, father to son talk... I guess I'll have to give this talk 5 times... lol...

well, my mom started to talk to me when i was just a little girl. not getting inot detail, but telling me, that no one was supposed to touch me, or see me naked until i was married. i never really had "the talk" , it wasn't necessary in my case. I have older brothers and sisters that told me most of the stuff. sex ed will happen in 7th grade starting out most of the time. they talked about the STD's and so forth that you could get, as well as depression. I would highly reccommend that you save yourself for the one you marry, on your honeymoon. Don't do it the year, month, week, day, before, when you will get it some day!!!Please be mature, and not like half of the nation, and get a girl pregnant when they are so young or out of wedlock! Take care, and be mature, but to answer your question, it depends on how mature you are.

Some parents never give it to their kids. In fact, most parents don't give "the talk" anymore, they let schools handle it. The problem is, you don't learn anything in sex-ed. They tell you about STDs, and they tell you don't have sex. That's the extent of it.

Im 14 and they never officially gave me 'the talk' it was more of an open thing so whenever I have a question I can just go to them for help and vice versa. however, I must say, I rarely(if not never) go to them because I get my information from other(reliable) sources.

I dont think alot of parents do it anymore. Because most schools have a sex ed class in 5th or 6th grade.

It depends on the parents, the child, and the childs maturity level. If you really want to have "the talk" ask your mom and/or dad
